Denomination (Partners following Christ in Mission):
New Life Community Church is part of the Reformed Church in America denomination (a.k.a. RCA). The Reformed Church in America is a fellowship of congregations called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the very presence of Jesus Christ in the world. New Life joins the RCA, in their mission to equip congregations for ministry--a thousand churches in a million ways doing one thing--following Christ in mission, in a lost and broken world so loved by God.
The RCA is one of the oldest denominations in North America. The RCA has approximately 940 congregations in the United States and Canada and over 250 missionaries and mission-partners throughout the world. In Iowa, we are over 75 churches strong. Our three colleges - Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, Central College in Pella, Iowa and Hope College in Holland, Michigan - are all recognized as high-quality Christian liberal arts institutions. To belong to a Reformed Church, thus, is to be part of a warm, historic North American family of Christians.
