Judy Nyren, Children's Ministry Director

Through the loving support of the church family, New Life's children's ministry focuses on building a child's understanding of God's love, care, and purpose for their life and helping them develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Judy grew up in Webster County and graduated from ISU with a BA in Family and Consumer Sciences and a minor in Art. She has used her creative teaching gifts in ministry and community volunteer work with children in Johnson County for over 25 years. Her creative approach to teaching has led to a unique ministry opportunity over the last several years. She is a contract writer for Gospel Light VBS curriculum.

Judy's husband Dave is a veterinarian and they have two children. Their daughter Noelle, her husband Luke Haverhals and their daughter Lilliana Grace live in Bethesda, MD. Their son Andrew, his wife Amy and their daughter Ella live in Lincoln, Illinois where he is pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  

Donna Manchester, Worship Director

It is an honor to serve God as Worship Director here at New Life Church.  Our goal in worship is to praise and bring glory and honor to Him.  God continues to bless our church with gifted musicians that lead our church in a God glorifying and worshipful way.  We worship in a casual atmosphere, contemporary in style, with some traditional elements as well. Our worship is exciting as well as contemplative at times. Our Praise Team consists of 2-20 singers/worship leaders and our music is driven by keyboard, guitar and drums. Other instruments are used to complement our band such as flute and other wind instruments, violin and other strings, brass, percussion and any other instruments that would bring praise and glory to God! Worship videos, dramas and dance also enhance our worship. If you are interested in joining us, we rehearse on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 pm. Just give Donna a call at 319.594.3253!
