Our Core Values (Principles we’ll regard highly as we pursue our mission):
New Life in Christ: We value transformation that happens in a person’s life as they receive the Gospel and become a follower of Jesus. We all start from a place of brokenness. We value new lives in Christ that find freedom from the slavery to sin, reconcile broken relationships, find peace they never knew, become worshippers of the one true God, become lovers of others, and experience the full joy of knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Cor. 5:17
The Bible: We value the Bible as our guide for fulfilling our mission as a church and living out our Christianity. The Bible is our final authority on all matters of faith, life, and truth.
Prayer: We value corporate and individual prayer as our primary way of communicating with and relating to our God.
The Power of God: We value God’s work in our lives and our church, through the Holy Spirit by whom we are lead and empowered. It is only by His power and leading that we have any hope knowing Him individually or of fulfilling our mission as a church.
Family: As new people in Christ, we value our adoption into His family as His children. We value this relationship with God and share the bond of Christian family together. We welcome one another, establish bonds of fellowship and devotion to each other, and share each other’s burdens and joys.
Diversity: We value our diverse make-up as the body of Christ and appreciate each person as God’s unique creation. We value that God brings us together from diverse backgrounds, unites us around a common mission, and calls us to seek His truth together.
Worship: We value worshipping God as the reason He created us. The praise of God’s glory is the reason we gather, sing, give and serve our community. Our desire to see others worship God is the reason we share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those we meet.
