Occupation: Retired Veterinarian
Family Status: Married to Judy. Son Andrew (Amy), daughter Noelle (Luke), and five grandchildren.
How you became a Christian: While I was a student at Iowa State a friend invited my wife and I to join a campus ministry led bible study. After studying the Gospel of John we both accepted Christ as our Savior.
Consistory and involvement at New Life: I have been a member of New Life since 1998. I have helped lead small group bible studies, served at Vacation Bible Schools, served on prayer teams, driven the church van, worked on the audio/video team, and coached New Life softball and basketball teams.
Vision for New Life: My vision for New Life is that we as a church always submit to God's plans and not our own plans. To do this we must daily commune with God in prayer and the study of His word. I believe one of the best ways to grow spiritually as a church is through small group ministries where prayer, bible study, and love for one another is shared. My prayer is that all at New Life can be part of a caring group. In addition we must also love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:39) and in doing so seek ways to lead our neighbors to a growing relationship with Christ.
